Was craving pizza. Shouldve went to Jets. Cost was way more and quality was something I could've made at home from scratch. Service was good and lots of young workers which was noticeable but fine.

I really want to like this place. We have been there twice with family. Both times I was underwhelmed by the food. Both times my pasta dishes were just bland. So bland that adding salt could not bring the flavors out. That's not how pasta should be. Especially red sauces. There should be deep, developed, complex flavors. My wife did have a calzone which she said was ok. The service was good both times. Good beer selection. But their prices are high. Very high if you factor in the relatively low value of the food. I have not tried their pizzas yet, but I understand they are pretty good. At this point I am not very motivated to try them based on the rest of their menu.

Meh. Ordered the Pasta Royal. Added salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes...And it was still...meh. I couldn't fix it. $15.99 is highway robbery for a dish like this. My companion chose the soup rather than salad. Chicken wild rice. Despite being "starving" he left it almost untouched. I tried it, and it was sub par to what you could buy in a can. The service was excellent though.

I would recommend the pastas. That's what i get. Not a really big fan of there pizza idk just not my thing there. The workers are helpful Service is good! Go Check it out if u never been

I have always loved Sammy's pizza, especially the Northern NN locations. The BP location has always had good food, and I would give higher stars for that alone. However, I can only give 2 stars due to the service. As a tip check your bill... The kids spaghetti comes with a soda and we were charged for 5 sodas. I never received my side salad but I was charged for that too. I also love the frozen take out pizza's. I have a pizza oven at home and these are delish! It's not very close to my house, but when I can I will stop for the pizza.

I can't say I was really impressed with this place. I went for the buffet and I feel it was over prced for the type of blah thin crust pizza I had. Service was meh, once I was reconginzed in my party since I arrived late. I know I can blend in with a crowd, but it was a small table.

Decent pizza, lunch buffet that they do a good job keeping stocked. Servers are attentive enough. Have been here for dinner and almost always get a pasta dish, portions are large so we normally split it into two portions.

my hubby and I went there due to the lunch buffet coupon. We really enjoyed it. The buffet is not too large but overall it was a good experienced....Love their chicken wings selection though

Service was fine, but the lunch buffet food was absolute garbage. The pasta was cold, and everything tasted like it came straight out of a can. Not worth even 1/4 of the $10 it costs.

Ordered two pizzas and some garlic cheese bread which came out to 70 dollars with tip for delivery. The order was guaranteed to be here in one hour, ended up being 2 hours and 10 minutes. The delivery man delivering it had to call to get the correct address because the one I have them apparently was too hard to figure out, mind you I did type it in correctly on the website with proof. One pizza was cut and divided, but the other was not. The worst of it all, both pizza boxes were flipped vertically, making all of the toppings shift to one end of the box, and folding over the crust and sauce in the process. This is the second time ive gotten food from this place in almost 10 years, and I can see why..... The food is good, if it's handled with respect, but the service has always been horrible at the brooklyn park location and coon rapids location. Not impressed

The food is always delicious. Love the broasted chicken but the pizza is good too. We like to go on Tuesday nights for the dinner buffet as it is easier with kids and I can get both the pizza and chicken that I love so much. My 2 favorite pizzas are the Iron Rangers and the Chicken Alfredo.

My wife and I stopped by on a Friday night around 6, thanks to a Groupon deal for $15 for $30 of food and drink. We were greeted in a friendly manner by the young man at the host stand and were seated in the dining room. It was pretty much full given the time and day and tables turned over pretty frequently. We ordered wine and beer to start while we perused the menu. They do have liquor as well. In addition to pizza, they've got a selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and such. As we had never been here previously, we decided to have the Hawaiian (kahuna?) pizza with a side salad. The salad was decent sized, enough so that my wife couldn't finish it, so I being the human garbage disposal finished it off. It was a mix of spinach and iceberg with nice chunky croutons and thick shredded cheese--tasty enough. The pizza came out a few minutes later. I felt it was a little light on cheese and the crust was thinner and crispier than I prefer. We weren't asked to customize when ordering, but I would be sure to request a thicker crust next time. Overall, it had good flavor thanks to the jalapeño and chicken on top of the usual Canadian bacon and pineapple. The parm-herb blend from the shaker table side added even more to it. I'd like to come back and try the deep dish meaty options. The waiter, Andrae (think that is what the receipt said-my wife thought he was pretty easy on the eyes), was on the ball with re-ups on drinks and checked in several times to ensure we had all that needed. I'm kinda surprised to have read so many reviews complaining about the service, since I saw nothing but smiles from the staff and they all looked to be working together smoothly with a full dining room. We wrapped up, headed out, and were wished a good night by several employees on the way out. All in all, a good experience.

The large "Space for Lease" sign on the corner of Zane and Oak Grove Parkway, right outside of Sammy's, has discouraged me from stopping before. Today I came around and saw they actually are still open - the spaces available are other storefronts on this complex. Great buffet, with pasta, bbq and buffalo chicken wings, fried chicken, salad bar, and, of course, pizza. The pizza on the buffet is all Minnesota thin crust, which I prefer, and square (instead of pie) cut, which I don't. But it was all quite tasty. Service is a little slow, but it is lunch time. And you get a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie with your check!

Hit up this buffet!!!! There wasn't a lot on it, but what was there was delicious, hot, and fresh! Pasta, wings, several pizzas, wings, salad, and wings. Did I mention wings? It's not too often you find wings on a buffet, so I wanted to make sure you know that there are wings (that's chicken wings to be exact) on this buffet. A wingy good time! We've also been in to order off the menu - good food (ordered pizza and, you guessed it, wings). Great, flavorful meats on a complimentary sauce. Bravo, Sammy's - you do know how to make a pizza, unlike a lot of places in the metro. Oh, and your wings are quite tasty as well. No complaints about the service either - always good!

Give me a break! The pizza I bought, a "Sammie's Special," was light on everything except price. A large thin crust for $17.99. Here's what I get for that price: Tin crust-ok. Light on sausage- good but not enough. Minimal sauce, onions, peppers and cheese. Listen up- crust, sauce and pizza make the pizza. Can you hear me Sammy? I'm not kidding you- when I picked up the box I thought there was a mistake and it was empty! Thin crust does not mean thin on all the toppings. Effect is very careful cost cutting via portion control. Sorry about being mean, but this was half a pizza at full price. I walked out of the storewith the pizza- my bad. Friendly service-decisions on how much toppings to put on a pizza are probably made at a higher level. Boo.

WAY OVERPRICED! This is not the same quality as the Sammy's in Hibbing either. Still an okay pizza, but not for the price. They have a lunch buffet, which would be great, if it didn't get overrun by the section 8 folks who come at lunchtime and hog the buffet line and will literally clean out all the pizza before people behind them get a turn. So you spend all lunch hour waiting for more pizza to come out. If you want to pay this much for a pizza, then go to Latuff's on 55. They never forgot how to load up a good pizza!

Sam Perrella's should change their name to "Sam Your-Food-Sucks-So-Bad-a's"! Between the frozen tasting pastas & the super dry cracker crusted pizza the only memorable item at this "chain" location was the mini-video game sitting atop the bar. No, but it gets worse as the bartender was about as attentive as a sloth on Unisom. Sam's seems intent on giving each customer the full experience of these cookie cutter chain spots that expect you to pay for dull service and food. Sam's should really stop buying their pastas and sauces from "SAM's" and pay a little extra to bring in some real cooks instead of an assembly line microwave jockey! This local definitely needs to start from scratch.

Moved to the Twin Cities area recently and am trying various pizza places. Trying to find a New York style. This ain't it. The pizza was cut into small pieces instead of slices, which I have never seen in my life. Don't like itcut like that. The crust was crunchy and I want it chewy.

I have to say I am picky about service and food (being in the restaurant business over 25 years) Every time I go to this establishment it has been a pleasant surprise, consistent, great service good food. I just ordered online and instead of choosing delivery I accidentally ordered carry out. After waiting and hour and 15 minutes I called. They immediately sent out a new hot order. Thank you Sammy's- I am a fan and will always support you locally!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
